Taylor Chase

By Kyle Gylsen - Nevis

The SportsCow.com Male Athlete of the Week is Taylor Chase of the Nevis boys' basketball team.

Chase, a junior, scored his 1,000th point in the second half of a win over Red Lake on January 31.  Taylor had 30 points on the night in an 80-65 win.
His current point total is 1,048.  Taylor is currently averaging 21.8points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

"Taylor has been great on and off the court for us," said Tigers' head coach Scott Kramer.  "He has a high GPA and has been a great role model for younger student athletes.  He is a team player who is always looking to involve his teammates.  He has taken more of a leadership role this year and our team has been continuing to improve throughout the season."
